An Elaboration on a Theme – Meta Decisions

by on September 8, 2011

In addition to the meta decision examples I published in Efficiency Solution No. 11, here are some additional meta decisions to ponder.

If I have not worn a piece of clothing for  two years, I will part with it.

If I have not read a magazine for three or more months, I will part with it.

I will set a ‘no longer need to keep’ date for my files, and purge those files when that date rolls around.

I will not sign up for a networking meeting that does not have a set time, in other words, switches between morning, noon and night.  I have enough to keep track of!

I will not travel more than 25 miles to a standard networking event.

Efficiency Solution No. 11 Recap –

When faced with multiple tasks, I tackle the most difficult first.

I return phone calls between 2:00 and 4:00 each day.

When recruiting, I will not consider a candidate whose resume has a typo.

I do not forward cute emails to ten friends.

Do you have any to add?  I would like to hear them.
